At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty.
The alligator, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the ‘apex predator‘, can still fall victim to implemented ‘team work‘ strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and ’survival of the pack mentality’ bred into the canines.

Note that the Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the gator preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing. The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the gator.

We have received tons of advice regarding raising our first puppy, however among all the advice we have received the one thing we hear over and over again is “Crate train your dog“. A month ago we thought putting a puppy in a crate was inhumane and we could never imagine putting our little frenchie in a crate. After further research, we have come to find out that crate training is very humane and in fact when done right the puppy actually develops a special relationship with the crate and sees it as a safe haven.
Perhaps the biggest rebuttal to our previous thoughts of crate training as inhumane is this article by the “Humane Society“.
Puppy crate training seems to be the way to go and we are currently on the hunt for the perfect crate for Tink. We have also purchased a book from Petco that was recommended to us as the best book on crate training a puppy. The book is called Super Simple Guide to Housetraining by Teoti Anderson.
We know life experiences can always teach us more than a book, so if anyone has a tip or two, please leave us a comment.
Still awaiting our Frenchie’s arrival only 4 more weeks, today we purchased a little Turquoise collar with rhinestones on it. It seems we can’t go anywhere anymore without making a puppy purchase or at least browsing the dog aisles.
We also found a cool french bulldog quiz last night while researhing raising a French Bulldog. Its a quiz that asks you questions to determine whether or not your ready for a frenchie. We passed with flying colors but it definitely made us more aware of all the responsibilities that go into raising a French Bulldog and how a French Bulldog is different from most other dogs.
My buddy asked me if the owners of Tink had any other Frenchies for Sale. Well, to my knowledge they do. Infact, here are some pictures of Tink’s brothers and sisters. Hey look there’s Tink, our French bulldog in the background!

Mo Has been Sold - His Name is Now Paco. His Twin Brother Scrappy is Sleeping below.

The puppies will be available at the end of April but deposits are being taken now. The family is legit and is providing a loving home for these puppies until the right people come along, we got a real good feeling from the breeders and continue to have contact with them until we receive Tink on May 11. The puppies were born March 5th 2008. If you happen to be one of those people in southern California that has been patiently waiting for that perfect frenchie, look no further.
