Thanks Dean for the awesome advice. We truly do have a better understanding on why “reputable” breeders should be the only breeders breeding dogs that aim to perfect the standard. Any other dog might as well be adopted or rescued from the shelter. We promise our next dog will come from a shelter or from a reputable breeder.

As I am another interested back seater, I will be the one to tell you. “There was nothing offensive or out of line by Mr. Han or Mrs. Matthews in there reply’s. It wasn’t until your current posting that you finally understand what Mr. Han and Mrs. Matthews have been posting on Back yard breeders and Puppy mills and what destruction it causes to the breed. Everyone says thank you. Shoudn’t both of you have already known all of the Brachy Vet’s in San Diego County? As we figured your breeder would have directed you to one. I will say this for the 3rd time, (1) A reputable breeder who has there own website is different than a BYB advertising in the newspaper, Craigslist or an Internet dog sale link like Puppyweb.com. (2) To become a reputable breeder you must do more than apply for a A.K.C. French bulldog registry. (a) Compete and show your dogs, (b) take your litter profits, (if any) and invest them in health testing of all your dogs, (O.F.A. & C.E.R.F.) and provide test results. (c) Have excellent references, (d) Breed from Champion sired dogs only, (e) Provide a Pedigree to buyers, (f) Sell pet puppies on mandatory spay/neuter clause, (g) maintain sanitary, clean, comfortable and safe quarters for the puppies. Kennel runs should be designed individually for there safety and comfort, (h) College courses in Pet Health and Pet first aid.
Last: We all hope for the best you and Tink as I am sure your experiencing the wonder of a Frenchie living at home.
