A French Bulldog Blog About 2 French Bulldog Puppies in San Diego, California (Actually, It’s Really All About Tink)
We appreciate all the feedback and comments we have been receiving lately however please keep in mind that we started this website to receive advice and tips on raising a French Bulldog. We are both first time dog owners and want all the advice we can get, however as you all know we cannot change the past so please stop denouncing our decision to purchase Tink. We love her so much and have no regrets whatsoever, waking up to her cute face every morning is all we need to ensure us that we made a good decision.
Perhaps we did not go about obtaining Tink the akc show breeder way or the way many of you would have, however once again we are first time owners and did not mean to cause any controversy in the Frenchie world. If we ever decide to purchase another French bulldog in the future we will heed your advice. But, as of now all we can do is love her the best that we know how to. So please give us advice on our current situation of raising a Frenchie so we can do all the right things. If you have recommendations of vet, food, toys, beds etc., we would be more than happy to hear tips from someone who has already experienced a French bulldog puppy firsthand.
Also please remember constructive criticism is the best kind of criticism. Instead of saying that we are going to the wrong Vet and that we made a bad decision, how about saying “You guys should really think about going to a Vet that specializes in brachial dogs, here are some great Brachycephalic Experienced Veterinarians in your area”. We did not think it was a great decision to choose a vet that is 1 ½ hours away because we thought that Tink’s doctor should be close by in case of an emergency would be the best decision. However once again we are new to all of this and we want to raise Tink the best way we can, so please let us know what we should do, we are more than willing to do whatever it takes.

I’m sorry Mr. Han if you actually started to leave nice comments within the past 2 days. After we had to delete 10 offensive comments, your name was put into or spam/moderation box. So, just in case you been trying to leave constructive criticism and you’re not seeing your comments, try another email address or different ip address.
Like we said, we will keep all your post up for now on.
As I am another interested back seater, I will be the one to tell you. “There was nothing offensive or out of line by Mr. Han or Mrs. Matthews in there reply’s. It wasn’t until your current posting that you finally understand what Mr. Han and Mrs. Matthews have been posting on Back yard breeders and Puppy mills and what destruction it causes to the breed. Everyone says thank you. Shoudn’t both of you have already known all of the Brachy Vet’s in San Diego County? As we figured your breeder would have directed you to one. I will say this for the 3rd time, (1) A reputable breeder who has there own website is different than a BYB advertising in the newspaper, Craigslist or an Internet dog sale link like Puppyweb.com. (2) To become a reputable breeder you must do more than apply for a A.K.C. French bulldog registry. (a) Compete and show your dogs, (b) take your litter profits, (if any) and invest them in health testing of all your dogs, (O.F.A. & C.E.R.F.) and provide test results. (c) Have excellent references, (d) Breed from Champion sired dogs only, (e) Provide a Pedigree to buyers, (f) Sell pet puppies on mandatory spay/neuter clause, (g) maintain sanitary, clean, comfortable and safe quarters for the puppies. Kennel runs should be designed individually for there safety and comfort, (h) College courses in Pet Health and Pet first aid.
Last: We all hope for the best you and Tink as I am sure your experiencing the wonder of a Frenchie living at home.

Thanks Dean for the awesome advice. We truly do have a better understanding on why “reputable” breeders should be the only breeders breeding dogs that aim to perfect the standard. Any other dog might as well be adopted or rescued from the shelter. We promise our next dog will come from a shelter or from a reputable breeder.
