Recently we went to San Francisco and decided to take the frenchies along for the trip. It was their first vacation and things could not have been more perfect. We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Nob Hill it was a great pet friendly hotel and absolutely beautiful and to top it all off the sanitation fee was only $25 for the whole trip. There was a cute park right up the street and we walked the dogs there four times a day to relieve themselves. The park was great and there were many other dogs we encountered there. We wanted to go to Frenchie Friday at Dolores Park however Friday was extremely rainy in the city so we decided to cut our trip short. All in all the trip was fabulous here are some pictures of the adventures we had in San Francisco.
Last Friday I took Tink and Chubs to James’ parent’s preschool “Little Lamb Land”. His mom was ecstatic about having all the children meet Tink and Chubs and the kids were just as ecstatic. We arrived to the preschool at 8:30am, both dogs were so excited to be in the car going somewhere, little did they know when we got out of the car they were about to get the most attention they have ever received in their entire lives. We were greeted by 40 children ages 3-5 and they instantly fell in love with Tink and Chubs. The children were chasing the dogs all over the playground having a blast. At 9:30am we went into the classroom and all the kids got to formally meet Tink and Chubs and tell us about their own dogs at home and ask questions. Overall it was such a fun day and I wish i would have taken millions of pictures but lets just say I had my hands full…
Here is a picture of Tink and Chubs worn out on the car ride home from preschool
Yesterday we met up with some friends and their new Miniature Schnauzer named Kaiser. Tink and Chubs (our French Bulldogs) both wanted to bombard the new puppy with all their love and playfulness and were quite scary to Kaiser the new little puppy who was only 10 weeks old and brand new to other dogs besides his litter mates. Chubs would stand in front of Kaiser and just bark at him continuously like he barks at us when he wants to play, poor little Kaiser was so scared that he would back into corners or run up to the nearest person to pick him up. Tink was just as playful as Chubs and darted towards Kaiser and started wrestle with him, Kaiser was so cute and had this high pitched scream that just pronounced “get away from me you crazy dogs” We decided to take the dogs to a field so they could run around and get to know each other in a bigger setting where Kaiser could run away from the two crazy dogs if need be.

We had such a great time and by the end of the day Kaiser was warming up quite well to Tink and Chubs and they all became such great friends. They were chasing us around and running in perfect lines, each dog trying so hard to beat the other one. Pretty soon Kaiser was comfortable he just sat back and starred at Chubs barking at him instead of trying to run away. Here are some pictures from our day at the park as you can see everyone seems to be getting along just fine.
Last night we saw the first pictures of little Tink with her ears standing straight up, it has not even been a week since we first met her and she has already grown so much. I can only imagine how different she is going look when we finally pick her up. The couple we bought the puppy from are very caring and we know they are taking good care of her and giving her all the love she needs to grow into a loving little frenchie.
I am so glad we waited and found a reputable breeder, it makes this whole waiting process so comforting. Yesterday on our way home from work we saw a frenchie at the local dog park by our house and for the first time ever I was able to see what a frenchie looked like in real life. We immediately pulled over just like many times before when we thought we saw a frenchie at the dog park, only this time it was for real. The guy who owned the french bulldog was very nice and let us pet his little rambunctious boy whose name was Bandit. Bandit was a brindle with white markings just like Tink. He also told us his horror story he had experienced when buying his frenchie online. He said he was given the frenchie with no papers and he has to plan a trip to fly out to Texas to try and get papers from a breeder who is not being very cooperative and is already in trouble with the law regarding fraudulent dealings with other frenchie owners.
We are so glad we are dealing with great people who really care about the puppies and are not just in it to make money. We also couldn’t imagine not being able to communicate with our breeder after the puppy transaction was complete. We hope to gain a lifetime of knowledge from our breeders and know they will be there for any questions we have in the process of raising our first frenchie.
