Frenchie Fridays Feature : Ninja

Today’s Frenchie Friday Feature is Ninja, he is a frenchie that Tink plays with at Kate Sessions Park. Long before we even met Ninja we heard stories about the cool looking French Bulldog that frequents Kate Sessions Park. We longed for the day that another Frenchie would come to the park and then one day Ninja showed up.

We immediately knew it was Ninja when we saw his trademark black patch around his eye that we had heard so much about. Tink and Ninja instantly became best friends and is was as if they were only the two dogs in the whole park. They reverted to their own corner of the park away from the other dogs and just rolled around together. We were so happy that Tink had finally played with another French bulldog at her favorite place to be. We have had the pleasure of seeing Ninja a few times more after their original encounter and every time the two dogs are instantly drawn to one another and the rolling around starts and lasts forever.

Unfortunately, Ninja is moving away to Northern California so we will not be seeing our French bulldog friend anymore but we had a wonderful night with him last night and took lots of pictures to share. Frenchie Fridays Feature: Chubs - AKA Pound Cake

Thank you every one that has submitted pictures of their frenchies with comments about how you feel about them to us. We now have enough loved frenchies to post one every Friday for rest of this summer.

Today’s Frenchie Friday and new co-star of Frenchie Tink is Pound Cake AKA Chubs. We are pleased to announce that come Tuesday there will be an new addition to our family. We were going to wait until then to formally introduce Chubs, however we are just way too excited. Chubs comes to us from Alabama and James is boarding a plane Tuesday morning to go pick up Tink’s new best friend. Tink isn’t aware of her new friend yet, however we think she will be very excited when her and I pick up James and Chubs at the airport Tuesday night.

Frenchie Fridays - Rescue French Bulldogs

We ran into a little problem for this week’s frenchie friday feature. It was mostly a timing thing but we also don’t have enough frenchies to feature every Friday. While deciding what to write about, I thought about French bulldogs that need love.

We were so caught up in our frenchie and finding owners that love their frenchies as much as we do, that we never thought about how many frenchies there are in this country that need some love. Furthermore, we never thought about the people out there looking for that perfect French bulldog to love/save.

French Bulldog Rescue

For those of you looking for that perfect frenchie, consider a rescue one. A lot of the times foster frenchies show more love and companionship than a dog that you raise yourself. Some of these dogs have had tough lives and when showed that their are actually places in this world where they can have a pillow or even a dog bowl really does go a long way with them. They really appreciate it.

Here’s what a friend of ours told us.

“Harley was rescued from puppy mill and lived a tough life…. But it feels good to know that I brought that big ‘ole smile to his face. He is so loyal, listens, and you can tell he appreciates his new life.”

Just visit the French Bulldog Rescue Network’s website and read a couple French bulldog stories, I’m sure you will be touched. I certainly was.

Frenchie Fridays Feature #7 - Goose

This week’s Frenchie Friday is Goose. You may remember Goose from our Mini French Bulldog Meetup at Petsmart. Goose is very special to us because he is the first and only Frenchie Tink has ever played with. Here is what Goose’s owners Nichole and Cody had to say about Goose.

“Goose will be 24 weeks old next week and he is loving his life! Goose comes to work with me everyday and gets to spend some quality time with Roscoe the Boxer. The two of them just lay in the sun all day, play with some toys, and of course get treats from the UPS man!

As with all Frenchies, everyone loves Goose and he get tons of attention. He is a great dog and we feel so lucky to have him in our lives.”

Below is a picture of G-Man graduating from puppy school isn’t he just adorable?

Frenchie Friday’s Feature #6 - FBDV’s Boomer

This week’s Frenchie Friday is the French Bulldog Village’s Boomer. Boomer is a 3 year old rescued French bulldog living in a Foster home here in Southern California. He is one of the French Bulldog Village K-kids currently staying in a foster home until he finally finds his forever pet home. Boomer’s life wasn’t always tough, at one point Boomer was in the same position Tink is in now. He lived with a happy couple that spoiled him for 2 years, until that couple had a baby. Having a new baby was something new to Boomer and he wasn’t very fond of someone new taking up all his attention.

Perfectly understandable Boomer…

He later found a second home. But in this home, he wasn’t the only dog/pet. Who knows how the originally coupled spoiled Boomer, because he made it clear that he wanted to be the only pet. After 18 months of unhappiness Boomer was forced out of his new home.

Poor Boomer has had a rough life; he is now living in a foster home and being evaluated to see if he could ever be safely put into another family again. He is settling in fine to his foster home however after being evaluated by Luciano Aguilar “Sit Means Sit” it has been determined that Boomer should go through a thirty day boot camp to increase his chances of being placed in a permanent home in the future.

This story is extremely aspiring to us. It has opened our eyes to the adjustments we will have to make in raising Tink to prevent her from becoming too spoiled that she is unable to welcome any other dog or our future baby into our home. Tink is our little angel. But one day our family will grow and we need to be prepared.

If we were experienced dog/frenchie owners, we would get Boomer in a heart beat. Look at his face. He’s a just a spoiled brat that wants some personal (all of your) attention. What better Frenchie to have…

French Bulldog Boomer

It is through the help of French Bulldog Village and the K-Fund (Karen Krings Memorial fund) that Boomer is given the hope for a second chance. Without these amazing people dedicating their lives to the well being of rescued Frenchies, who knows what Boomer’s fate would have been?

Frenchie Fridays Featurette #5 - Tiffany’s Chick

‘Tiffany’s Chick’ is probably the cutest french bulldog puppy we’ve seen since Tink. She is 1 week younger than Tink (10/11 weeks old) and is as of now FrenchieTink.com’s youngest Frenchie Fridays feature.

Here’s a very small portion of what Tiffany had to say about her beloved frenchie.

Chick is as sweet as can be. She is super loving and cuddly, but can also independently play on her own with no problem. She is a beautiful fawn girl and she is the joy of my life.

Tiffany is an awesome lady who we’ve learned a lot from. She has provided us with very useful information on obtaining the right frenchie professionals and how to get involved in frenchie shows, games, clubs and meetups. She is an active member of the San Fernando French Bulldog Meetup Group and can be spotted at your next local frenchie conformation show. We are happy to feature Chick as this week’s Frenchie Friday featurette, not only because she is so adorable, but also because her mama (Tiffany) is one of the nicest ladies we’ve met since obtaining our frenchie and starting this blog.

Thanks Tiffany for all your great advice!

Ruby Louise - Frenchie Fridays Featurette #4

This week’s Frenchie Friday Feauturette is Ruby Louise. Ruby Louise is a 1 and a half year old pied French bulldog owned by a fellow internet marketer named Tony Hoover.

Ruby is an awesome Texas girl that loves the outdoors.

Here a snippet of what Tony has told us about Ruby.

I work during the week in Dallas and usually take off to the lake on Fridays with Ruby. She loves to be outside. She is very easy going and calm and always has been. She can be a little hard-headed when she doesn’t want to mind me but that’s pretty typical.

(sounds like Tink… Easy Going, Hard-headed)

We’ve seen many pictures of Ruby. Lisa and I immediately thought that she was one of the cleanest dogs with the nicest coat we have ever seen. Come to find out it’s because Ruby’s uses a dog shampoo from the Cain and Able Collection, a local Texas dog grooming company. (More about that in our future post; How to Clean a Frenchie)

Here are some pictures of Ruby Louise.

That colorful portrait of Ruby was done by another pet lover named Rebecca Lansdowne. Rebecca is a very creative artist that can make any cute picture of your dog cuter.

We forgot to mention that Ruby has a boyfriend named Tank.

She loves to go to the lake and ride in her golf cart. Pictured are Ruby and Tank her English bulldog boyfriend.

Here’s a couple picture of these 2 love birds chilling in their favorite place in the world.

King - Frenchie Fridays Feature #3

There is another dog in Tink’s family we must give a shot out to. This week’s Frenchie Fridays Feature is Tink’s brother King. King was the cover star of the Tink’s litter internet ad. King is a white with black, pied french bulldog. Lisa saw the ad and showed me immediately. We contacted the breeders and they showed us more pictures of the frenchies. We scheduled to meet with Tink’s family a few days later. Lisa was set on King, while I was set on Tink on the way up to seeing the frenchies for the first time. Once we got their Lisa saw Tink looking at her with her adorable eyes and picked her up first and fell in love. I picked up King; he had the cutest eyes hiding behind his black spots and seemed rambunctious and playful. Ultimately the decision was Lisa’s so we picked Tink however we will always remember King as the cute frenchie puppy that enticed us to drive out to Riverside one sunny Sunday afternoon. On our last visit King’s ears were standing straight up and they were so high he almost looked like a cross between a frenchie and a bunny. He was extremely playful and has the cutest black spot on his butt, he is absolutely adorable just look at him chewing on his toy.

We are still looking for frenchies to feature on Fridays.

Frenchie Fridays Feature - Eisenman’s Oogie Woogie Boogie

This week’s Frenchie Friday feature is none other than Tink’s daddy, Eisenman’s Oogie Woogie Boogie. Daddy loves to play with his kids. He has 2 boys that are little teeny versions of him. He is this Friday’s Frenchie because not only is he Tink’s dad and the most playful and energetic frenchie in Moreno Valley, he is the coolest French bulldog in all of Southern California. He’s a tough looking frenchie that still loves to cuddle with the family. Boogie can brighten anyone’s day with his ‘life is good’ smile.

Frenchie Fridays Featurette #1 - Kobey-Rose

Today marks the first Frenchie Friday ever for FrenchieTink. We encourage you to send us pictures of your Frenchie to share with the world wide web and be featured on FrenchieTink.com. The first Frenchie Friday featurette is going to be hard to top, but luckily for you this isn’t a competition just an opportunity to share your loving Frenchie with the world.

Kobey-Rose Frenchie Fridays #1
Kobey-Rose Frenchie Fridays #1                               Frenchie Kobey-Rose

“My French Bulldog is “awesome” because she is always there to make me laugh. I have been through some tough times in the past couple years but no matter what, Kobey-Rose can make me smile with her funny antics.

Regarding her name; Kobey is a family name so I had planned to use it before I got her. I soon learned there were many other dogs around with some variation of Kobi, Codi etc. So I added Rose after my late Mother. Which has given Kobey-Rose a totality unique name. She can even be Googled!

We were featured on the Martha Stewart Show with Kobey-Rose dancing around for cheese (her favorite treat) on a special “all Bulldog” show, where Martha introduced her second Frenchie named Sharkey to keep Franchesa (her first FB that she had posed with on the cover of Vanity Fair) company. Plus we have been on a couple shows for Animal Planet as well as in New York Dog magazine.

I have been the organizer of French Bulldog NYC for over 3 years now, going from 60 to 400 members, which just proves how popular this breed has become.”
