LOOKING FOR A FRENCHIE FEMALE THAT CARRY THE BLUE GENE JO
What makes her think these puppies are blue?
They look like a typical red fawn pied pup, and a typical heavily white marked fawn pied.
There’s nothing on either of these puppies that screams ‘rare expensive colors! Pay more for us!’. Plus, the idea of paying more for a DQ color is simply repulsive.
I think the prices of blues are based on rarity for they are extremely hard to find/buy.
I agree, they don’t look blue at all. If I were to pay more for a blue frenchie it better be dark grey with really blue eyes.
We can’t call it though. We just thought it’d be nice to post this for Lisa’s co-worker.
Before you write what you “think” about my puppies I strongly suggest you see them in person. Cause they are blue with blue eyes. We all are entitled to our opinions but I suggest you keep your opinions to yourself. Because obviously you do not know what you are talking about. Maybe you just wanted to say that because you can’t afford a blue frenchie??? I don’t know. But, thanks for your input Carol.
Jason
Let’s be nice now. I’m sure price has nothing to do with Carol buying a blue frenchie. Those prices are actually very nice for a blue frenchie with the diluted gene, simply because of rarity. Carol is like one of the biggest ladies in the French bulldog world who has a deeper love and understanding of frenchies than most. Chances are she’s just not a fan of paying extra-ordinary prices for frenchie out of the French bulldog standards.
I can’t speak for her, but I’m sure she was referring to blues like the ones on this page. hence the “screams ‘rare expensive colors!”

I personally think blues are beautiful…
Maybe you just wanted to say that because you can’t afford a blue frenchie??? I don’t know.
Hey, thanks for confirming for me that for you, color is all about price.
So, out of curiousity, what sorts of things have the sire and dam of this ‘rare’ litter been tested for?
VWD? Hip Dysplasia? Elbow Dysplasia? Eyes Cerf’d? Hearts? Patellas clear?
Or did you just toss together two dogs because you thought they’d make ‘pretty’ colors?
I’ve made my opinion on ‘rare’ colors — all colors, really — very clear, for a long time. If you’re not breeding for MORE than just color, or looks? You’re no better than a puppy mill, because you’re just one more opportunistic, money grubbing dork out for as much lucre as he can suck out of my breed.
Long after dilettantes like you are gone, Jason, breeders like me will be here, cleaning up your ‘rare colored’ messes.
Test your dogs — put your big bucket of blue money where your mouth is. Oh, and please - feel free to ask me for the test results on ALL of my dogs, because I utilize open registries and welcome the scrutiny.
Why are you so angry??? Ok, Carol can I see the test results of ALL your dogs then? Thanks!!
Jason
WOW……..and …….LOL!
Jason, go get a big clue stick and smack yourself in the side of the head with it. Open registries — feel free to look them up. We use OVC, OFA, CERF and occasionally Penn Hip.
Now, do tell - your sire and dam’s results are where? Oh, right. No place. The same place you’ll be a few years down when the grankids of your pups start turning up in rescue.
I’m very surprised to see people arguing over the internet about these things. Carol, you are entitled to your own opinion, but really - what is the reason for making such negative comments and how can you judge something without seeing it for yourself? Im not sure if you are trying to make more business for yourself, but there is no reason to be so rude… smack himself in the head with a pool cue? REAL PROFESSIONAL, congrats. I’ve seen these dogs myself and they are blue, with blue eyes and have great personalities! I encourage anyone looking to check them out for themselves.
Do u have any more puppies left?
hi i actually do i have a litter of 3. they are 3 weeks now .2 blacks w/ brindle and a pure gray female no brindle . feel free to call me at 6197088777 jay t/y
OMG I’ve never seen anyone fight lke that. I do strongly belive in getting testing done. Why breed if your not out to improve the breed? Breeders have a BIG responsablity to breed happy, healthy, color, and comformationaly correct puppies. If every breeder bred any dog they could get their hands on, in 20 years there would be no “good” quality dogs. If you want to breed your dogs no matter what breed they are, try to select the best available. It’s not my place to judge or create havick but please choose your breeding dogs with care and with the best interest in mind for the pups to come. =) like i said before i’m NOT judging and i’m not going to disrespect you or your dogs in anyway. please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. i can help with getting dogs testing done and with information on breeding and whelping. am_ponies@yahoo.com
ok, any Bulldog with blue eyes has a recessive gene that doesn’t show up very often. It has to be double recessive in order to make blue eyes. So the dog is bred like this on purpose and is not desirable nor able to be shown as a show dog. The dog should not cost more than your average mutt that’s running around on the street. I am a breeder, I show my dogs, and my Bullies have 100% CH bloodline.
Bulldogs with blue eyes should be spayed or neutered due to the gene defect!
You are a scammer!!!
blue eyes are not a gene “defect”. they are no more healthy or unhealthy than a regular showable fawn or brindle. just so you know too, the only color that was originally showable in frenchies was fawn at first and so if you have a brindle, then your dog would have been a undesirable mutt at one time. breeders continue the other colors to hopefully get them into the show ring one day. if the color is too rare or unstable akc will not allow it to be shown, therefore we need to make these colors better, not spay them. if the unshowable ones are so undesirable, then how come i know of breeders selling blues, chocolates, and black and tans for a minimum of $8,000 and upwards of $15,000 when i can only get $2,000 out of my showable, champion sired fawns? pet homes do not care if a dog is showable, just that it is pretty, so no they should definitely NOT be spayed unless they are unhealthy, regardless of the color.
the puppies are beautiful btw, jason, but i will have to admit, it is hard to see the blue. the pied looks like he may have a blue mask, but it is hard to tell and the creme looks like his eyes are green, so i can see where people would be suspisious. it is hard to get a really good pic sometimes though. trust me, i try to get pics of my dachshund’s and her puppies blue eyes and they do the same thing. lol. you are right people need to see them for theirselves before harshly judging them.
