Introducing Gizmo the Black Mask Frenchie

Tinkerbelle & Her Bones

Does anyone else have a dog that spends 10 or more minutes searching for a place to hide a bone you just gave them?

Every time we give Tink a rawhide bone that she knows is going to take a while for her to eat, she looks all over the house for places to hide the bone. She sometimes spends hours finding the perfect hiding place and after she has found her place she keeps watch of the bone and if anyone goes near her hiding place she quickly follows them. She was even doing this before we got Chubs as if she thought we were going to steal her bone.

I remember when Tink was about 4 or 5 months old, Lisa and I came back from PetSmart with the biggest bone Tink had ever seen (at that time). Her eyes lit up and she immediately took the bone gratefully. But then her eyes changed, all of a sudden she was focused on something, something very important, an emergency. With the bone in her mouth, Tink walked with a determined pace to find somewhere to stash her bone.  She was serious about finding the perfect place and no place was good enough. Not the nooks in the couches, under the bed or behind the pillow. She had to find that perfect spot to place her bone.

Long story short, she does this all the time and even more now that Chubs is around. Luckily Chubs can care less about those kinds of things. We’ve found bones hidden under blankets, in closets, inside our shoes, under rugs, you name it. Most of the time, she forgets where she hides them. But when she does find it, she’s happy as can be and will only bring it out once we are all asleep. I think it’s quite funny.

We want to hear more places your little buddies has stashed their goodies.

Chubby Bunnies/Frenchies

We came across an Easter Pets photo contest on Martha Stewarts website and we just had enter. The contest was to take a photo of your pet as funny bunny or in its Easter best and enter to win. While shopping at Longs Lisa found the cutest bunny ears so we decided to incorporate a photo shoot into our afternoon dog park adventure. It was so much fun and the pictures came out so cute that we decided to post some of them on our website. If you get a chance please go visit our pictures and give them a vote or just browse through all the other cute easter pets.

Bruno the English Bulldog

Our friend Jerry has an English Bulldog named Bruno. Bruno is 2 years old and weights about 70/75 pounds. He’s by far one of the nicest bulldogs I’ve met. He likes Tink and doesn’t care too much about Chubs. Jerry lives in Los Angeles. But every other weekend or so, he comes down and sometimes brings the big guy. If it were up to me, he’d bring Bruno every time he visited San Diego.

Here are some pictures of Bruno at a soccer game in O.B.

Is he not the coolest looking English Bulldog?

Happy Birthday Tink!

Today is officially Tinkerbelle’s 1st birthday, tonight we will be having a small party with the family and we are going to make Tink a cake. As we look back at all the precious memories we have from picking Tink out from a laundry basket full of 6 adorable frenchies to driving to Riverside to visit her for the first time, to the special loveable cuddly dog she is today we are so grateful she has been brought into our lives. I knew from the moment I saw her that she was the one for us, the way she clung onto me when I first held her i could tell that she was going to be so loveable. Tink is such a big part of our lives and she brightens our life everyday with her kisses and her love. Happy Birthday Tink!
